Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. She was born in Stavanger on June 15, 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. Her name can be also stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from bloggers as well as the media. The artist has already recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by the group Oasis in a commercial for Christmas by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway with her voice, has given the song a boost of recognition. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an attic piano and being fascinated by the music it could produce. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for an occupation or pastime but as a way to develop. To achieve this she wrote her first original compositions. As well as Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Responding to her mother's advice that people should not be aiming to be famous through their songwriting skills, she instead recognize the significance of their lives as well as their contribution to society. When she began playing the piano, she was six years old and was writing her first song when she was nine. Her family didn't hear about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora's accomplishments were never her goal. The only thing she loves is writing songs. She believes that music is the most effective way to feel anything.
